In America, OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) governs workplace safety and provides regulations as an attempt to help companies be accountable and keep their workers safe. OSHA's mission is to "assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance".

Inside Industrial Facilities, a large number of day to day activities are governed by OSHA and roughly 80% of these activities are performed at elevation. During projects, turnarounds, outages, etc., there is an increase in work performed; often thousands of man hours. With the majority performed at elevation, there is an increased chance for dropped objects.

Depending on the facility and its incident history, companies performing work may be required to submit a falling/dropped object prevention plan. These plans often include tool lanyards, temporary barricades, and mesh netting placed between the handrail gaps.

When companies install their mesh netting, they typically use a
temporary orange netting that is not FR or UV resistant. They commonly come in 4'x150' rolls and are installed similar to the picture to the above left. Companies install the netting only for the life of their work then they remove it. Resulting in facilities paying for material cost, installation & removal labor time and time again. Zip-ties or tie-wire is commonly used to secure this netting. By using zip-ties or tie-wire, sharp & pointy edges are created that often result in first aid, recordable and/or lost time injuries. In addition, their netting is strung up by running the zip-tie or tie-wire through the mesh which reduces the nets integrity. At the end of the day this method also results in extra cleanup costs and leftover debris that often are left at your facilities ground level.

Our solution is a HDPE Mesh Netting that is Fire Retardant and UV resistant. Our netting is built with grommets and is installed using a marine grade shock cord to ensure a secure fit, eliminate sharp/pointy edges. and improve installation efficiency. The grommets allow for removal in the situation operations needs to run temporary piping or hoses. The netting is installed on all elevated structures and it lasts for 4 years, 4 YEARS! It is extremely affordable, in fact, when calculating what facilities already spend on this temporary service/product, we often save companies money and this way they have something to show for it.

We offer monthly netting inspection services and discounted prices for repeat customers.
